Autodrom Most is back in the ESET Cup calendar. The oldest permanent circuit in the Czech Republic is going to host fourth round of the championship between 5th–6th August.
There will be exactly eleven weeks long brake between third round at Red Bull Ring and fourth round at Most, so everybody will be happy to see each other again – on the track, which hosted ESET Cup in the past. In 2017 was a last time, when Autodrom Most was part of the ESET Cup series.
The length of the circuit is 4219 meters, width 12 to 14 meters. The start and finish line is 792 meters long and it is the longest straight section of the circuit. It has a total of 21 turns, 9 left and 12 right.
Autodrom Most was built between 1978–1983 on the site of a former surface mine. Most regularly hosts European Truck Racing Championship, but in recent years the circuit has gained some popular championships. Whether it was FIA WTCR, Superbike World Championship or ADAC GT.
However, the history of motorsport in Most dates back to the 1940s. Exactly in 1947, the first motorcycle race took place in the streets of Most and five years later the first car race happened. In the following years, the place of the circuit often changed, but always stayed in Most. In the early 1970s, races took place on highway-type roads, but it was clear that street races could not have a long-term existence – and so the development of a modern autodrome began.
Last Most´s winner are Jakub Knoll and Richard Chlad jr. in GT class, Robert Šenkýř and Daniel Skalický scored a win in Endurance race, Clio Cup was dominated by Gabriela Jílková and formula races by Paolo Brajnik.
