Having a factory driver in the car benefits the entire team

Gregor Zsigo, a driver and team owner of Racing Trevor, did not participate in all the races this year. In some events, he handed over the car to factory drivers from BMW Motorsport, who helped the entire team in further development.

In the 2023 season, six drivers took turns behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3. Alongside Gregor Zsigo, factory drivers Neil Verhagen, Jesse Krohn, and Max Hesse from BMW,and Štefan Rosina and Dennis Waszek showed their skills in the car.

“I had a limited program because we had factory drivers, and at the same time, I was involved in other matters regarding the team and the ESET Cup. Of course, I missed racing, but next year, I will participate in all the races again,” explained Zsigo.

Racing Trevor needed to test new things, and BMW Motorsport offered Verhagen, Krohn, and Hesse for that purpose. Having such drivers in the team is always beneficial, not only for the mechanics and engineers.

“Their experience brings the mechanics and engineers to another level. But I think it was also a great contribution to the ESET Cup. The battles between the factory drivers and Filip Salaquarda were a spectacle, and that’s always positive,” Zsigo continued.

Although he did not complete the entire season this year, Zsigo is satisfied with the 2023 season. “The battles were clean and enjoyable. I welcomed the return of Autodrom Most because I always enjoy driving there. Oschersleben was an interesting track,” added Zsigo.

The plan for next year at Racing Trevor is more or less clear. The BMW M4 GT3 will be seen in all races with Gregor Zsigo behind the wheel. Antal Zsigo will once again compete throughout the season in the BMW M4 GT4, and his progress has been visible from race to race.

“The 2023 season was successful, and we are working intensively to make the upcoming one just as successful. So, I would like to thank all the partners, BMW Motorsport, and the entire team,” concluded Zsigo.
