Beckhäuser ended Brajnik‘s domination

Paolo Brajnik’s domination in single-seater has come to an end after Tom Beckhäuser won Sunday’s Formula race. Andrea Cola finished in 3rd place. In Formula Renault, it was Nico Gruber who won, with Bartolomiej Mirecki clinching the championship title. Florian Renauer crossed the line in 1st position in the F4 category.

Tom Beckhaüser managed to win Sunday’s race at Hungaroring and he stopped Paolo Brajnik’s domination after winning the last three races. While the Czech driver was beaten by Andrea Cola in qualifying, it did not take him long to move into the lead in the race. Then the current F3 champion did not allow anyone to threaten him and he took his first victory since Grobnik.

Brajnik struggled in qualifying once again and started from only 6th place. But he still managed to make it on the podium, as he crossed the finish line in 2nd position. On the other hand, Andrea Cola set the fastest lap in the qualifying, but he had to settle for only 3rd place in the end. The Italian driver finished 2nd in the F3 classification.

There was no change in the F3 podium in comparison to yesterday, as Beckhäuser and Cola were joined by Sandro Zeller, who finished 4th in the overall classification.

In E2-2000, Brajnik was joined on the podium by János Magyar, the only other entrant in this category. The Hungarian driver finished 11th in the overall standings.

Nico Gruber took another win in Formula Renault and clinched the Junior championship title. But Bartolomiej Mirecki, who finished 2nd in the race, could celebrate the big championship win. Nikola Szabó finished in 3rd place in the category.

Florian Renauer has won in the F4 category.
