Marcin Jedlinski Become Sovereign of the Weekend

Two victories in ESET Sprint crowned with the victory in the endurance race. That is the weekend score of Marcin Jedlinski at the Red Bull Ring, where his phosphorus yellow Audi R8 LMS did not give the slightest chance to his rivals.

Marcin Jedlinski already outlined his ambition for the hour-lasting race in the time practice where he won the pole position. After start of the race he held the leading rank as far as the chessboard flag in the finish. He did not even lose his rank in the course of his stops in the pits, so dominant was the ride of the Polish pilot of the OLIMP Racing team. More than half of the race was not far away from Jedlinski Porsche 911, driven by Zejlko Drmič a Robert Lukas, but than the gap increased and they hold the position to the chequered flag.

The third place in ESET Endurance belonged to the excellently performing Denis Waszek with his Lamborghini Huracan, who at the same time won the GTC category. Towards the end of the race he entered a dramatic duel with the BMW M6 GT3 piloted by Jakub Knoll – Richard Gonda. The German machine of the Šenkýř Motorsport team was finally left behind by him with the negligible difference of 0.130 second. In the GTC category the second rank after Waszek belonged to Josef Záruba and Bronislav Formánek in their Lamborghini Huracán.

In the GT3 Trophy class a success similar to Jedlinski´s was achieved by Tomáš Erdelyi. After victories in the sprints he also received the most precious cup in the endurance race in which he shared his BMW Z4 GT3 with Richard Gonda, who worked twice, once with Z4 and once with M6. The second rank belonged to Gregor Zsigo and Lubomír Jakubík in their BMW Alpina B6. The other category triumphs were achieved by Petr Válek (D4-3.5) and the pair Csaba Tóth and Gábor Kismarty-Lechner (TCR).

The sport prototype class had its winners in Václav Janík and Tomáš Korený in a Norma M30 LMP3.
