Introducing ESET Junior for the upcoming generation

Introducing ESET Junior for the upcoming generation

There will be plenty of young drivers under 23 years in 2019 ESET V4 Cup championship, in both touring cars and single-seaters. Juniors are the future of motorsport and as always the new season will offer them an opportunity to prove themselves against older and more experienced competitors.

Juniors, drivers who are under 23 years old, are the foundation for every sport. It is all about discovering new talents and future champions. There are more and more junior drivers in the ESET V4 Cup every year, which is very good for the motorsport. One of the biggest incentives for the young drivers is a lower starting fee, cut to just 50%, and also much bigger media attention from this season.

Who is going to represent the young guns? For example Jáchym Galáš or Michal Makeš, who are no newbies in the ESET V4 Cup series. Last year, they fought for wins in the Clio Cup series. In the end, Michal Makeš won first six races in a row and became a champion. In 2019, Makeš plans to fight for the win again, with a Renault Clio of Mičánek Motorsport.

On the other hand, Jáchym Galáš is going to race in a much more powerful Volkswagen Golf TCR in the ESET TCR championship. It will be interesting to see how well he is going to do with not just with the new car, but also in a new environment.

Matěj Korený remains in a small but nimble Renault Twingo in the Twingo Cup series, which is an ideal starting point for young drivers. They all have the same cars and the success then depends only on a driver’s talent and their ability to deal with a very close running, a typical picture in the Twingo Cup series.

The Twingo Cup is really very popular amongst the youngsters as there will be four juniors this year. Apart from Matěj Korený, the series will be a starting point for Mark Marmor, Nik Štefanovič and Mark Škuli.

Some new drivers have been attracted also by the Formula 4 category. Single-seaters are nothing new for Marius Morosan, but it is going to be his debut season with F4-class car. On the other hand, it will be something new for Stefan Fürtbauer, who was racing in karts until last year and this switch is a big step for his racing career.

But that is still not everything as the final list of all juniors drivers for the opening round of the season will not available until all the scrutineerings are complete. However, there will be reports focused on junior drivers on a regular basis throughout the season.
