Milovan Vesnič with Seat Cupra was dominant in season 2018 in TCR category. Serbian from ASK Vesnič team won six sprint races and take the overall victory in TCR, although the season wasn´t as easy as it look.
You have won ESET TCR championship in sprint, how satisfied are you with this season?
Yes we won and season was as we planed. Car was fantastic, team was fantastic and I am really pleased with performance that we shown this season
You have won six races, did you expect this kind of result at the start of the season?
Total of 6 wins, 3 second places and one forth looks impresive but behind that is really hard work. It could be even little better but finally i am satisfied.
You were pretty dominant, but Vaclav Nimc was always behind you, how did you like yours fights on the track?
Vaclav Nimc was my main rival this year. First of all he is great young guy dedicated to motosport from big racing family so his performance is not suprise. Krenek motorsport and LMS support did great job.He will be faster and faster and he have great future in front of him. It was hard to be in front of him, we have on few races really great fights but always in sport manire without any problems. I wish him all best in years that come.
Which race are you going to remember for a long time?
Maybe hardest race this year was first race of Slovakiaring racing weekend. I started from pole, lead race, but in the middle my front spliter lose and Cupra started to vibrate a lot and it was hard to drive it on fast Slovakiaring straits. I lost place to Nimc but after great fight I pass him and win. It was really hard.
Which circuit in this year calendar of ESET was your favorite?
Slovakiaring is really great track. I love that combination of tehnical and fast sections. I drove in Brno for first time and times that was 2sec faster than ETCC pole in 2015 shows how big fight was with Nimc and my teammade Wyszomirski.
What are your plans for the rest of this year and what are your plans for next year?
For this season we are finish with racing. First and third place for my team is great result. Now we will concetrate to prepare cars for 2019. Where we will race depends on budget and organisers. We expect lot of changes for next year, hope for separate TCR class and lot of races from region to take part. We will be ready to win again.
