Gender Racing Team ready to race with the latest formula 4 single-seaters

On the opening day of the 17th Autó Motor Tuning Show, Gender Racing presented its 2023 racing cars at the biggest Hungarian motoring event of the year.

The 2023 racing season marks another very important professional milestone for the Gender Racing Team. The team will bring the latest, most advanced racing technology in its history to the battlefield in the FIA’s most popular junior category, in Formula 4. With this basic message, Zoltán Szujó has been introducing the GRT’s plans and objectives for 2023 who has been presenting and hosting the team’s events for many years, and who was also present this time as President of the Hungarian National Automobilsport Federation.

“We are very excited and have very high hopes for the start of the 2023 season! It’s always a very special thrill and a great feeling when the team reaches such a professional milestone and steps onto a new professional stage that we might not have dared to hope for when the team was formed!” says team principal Tamás Gender.

The latest technology in the junior categories, the second-generation Formula 4 Tatuus F4-T421, which was launched in 2021, will be the team’s newest addition. GRT has already gained experience in operating the first generation F4-T014. The second-generation race car looks much more like its higher categories’ F3 and F2 siblings, of course, primarily in its looks.

The newest racing technology in GRT history will be tested in a brand new championship series in 2023. For the team, the Czech ACCR Formula Championship is a strong race series in Central Europe, and is expected to be a big challenge. The magnitude of the challenge and the sporting value of the series is reflected in the plans and hopes of the series organisers to gain a classification from the FIA that will allow the championship to earn FIA super-licence points based on results in the series. The GRT team is looking forward to competing on its home track at the Hungaroring, followed by the Red Bull Ring and the Slovakiaring, and finally the two rounds in the Czech Republic, in Most and Brno.

“This could also open a new chapter in the team’s mission to help young talents in the sport. We are also adding several very valuable professionals in various other professional positions to the team this year, which is also a great honour for me! Plus, if all goes well, we could be adding another new F4 race car to the team later this year. Finally, I would also like to thank our partners for their trust and perseverance, and we continue to welcome the support and encouragement of our fans at the race venues and other events in Hungary!,” continues Tamás Gender.

The GRT’s latest racing technology is expected to be brought to the new championship series by a driver who also started his career in the team after his karting years.
