Jedlinski struggled his way through to 3rd Endurance victory

Marcin Jedlinski took another Endurance win at Poznan, despite he had to face several issues. He was joined on the podium by Gregor Zsigo with Dennis Waszek and a GT4 category winner Ferenc Ficza. In the GTC category, Dennis and Boleslaw Waszek were victorious, while Adam Puciata and Adam Bougsiaa finished 1st in the TCR category.

As usual, Saturday’s racing programme was ended with a one-hour Endurance race. While the previous races had been done in dry conditions, even despite an occasional raindrop, the race at Poznan had to be even postponed by almost an hour due to heavy rain. After the start, drivers spent the first 8 minutes behind the Safety Car and it was not after that when the race had fully begun. However, the Safety Car had to return two more times due to the incidents.

In the end, it was Marcin Jedlinski who took a victory in this crazy race, and he continues as unbeaten even on home soil. However, while his wins at Hungaroring and Slovakiaring were dominant, his today’s run was not smooth at all.

Jedlinski faced the first issues shortly after the start, as he got into a spin and dropped to the end of the whole grid. That put Trevor Racing car with Gregor Zsigo and Dennis Waszek into the lead. Later, Jedlinski was able to make his way back to the top, to 2nd place, but then his troubles continued. He collided with a car running in a separate Polish championship, then he went off the track and added another spin.

Meanwhile, a BMW driven by Gregor Zsigo and Dennis Waszek remained in the lead and it looked like they were heading towards their first Endurance victory of the season. However, during the second Safety Car, they also had a spin, lost lots of time and allowed Jedlinski to get ahead of them.

Jedlinski then kept fighting his car even after the second restart. He left the track two more times and even got a drive-through penalty. But that still did not stop him and in the end, he crossed the finish line in 1st place. Dennis Waszek and Gregor Zsigo had to settle for only 2nd place, with Ferenc Ficza finishing in 3rd, but also taking a victory in the GT4 category.

Ficza then finally stopped the unbeatable RTR Projects team that was victorious in the GT4 category in previous two races thanks to Matěj Pavlíček and Erik Janiš. But the Czech team did not miss out on the podium, with Matěj Pavlíček finishing in 2nd place, this time together with a former Formula 1 driver Tomáš Enge. Grega Šimunovič and Mathias Lodi from the Lema Racing finished in 3rd place in the GT4 category.

But Dennis Waszek did not race just with a BMW of the Trevor Racing team. He also raced with a Lamborghini of the Duck Racing, where he joined his father Bolek Waszek. And together, they have won in the GTC category. In the TCR class, Adam Puciata and Adam Bougsiaa finished in 1st place.
