Wolfgang Kriegl leads Cruze Cup championship

A popular Chevrolet Cruze Cup series has had two races this season so far – at Red Bull Ring and Grobnik. Wolfgang Kriegl is the currently leading the championship, but Dennis Bröker in 2nd place is just one point behind.

Wolfgang Kriegl is a Cruze Cup regular but he missed the race weekend at Red Bull Ring. Yet, that did not stop him from becoming a championship leader as he dominated in dry and wet conditions in Grobnik and moved to the 1st place in the championship.

Kriegl currently has 40 points, while Dennis Bröker is just 1 point behind. The German racer has not won a race yet, but he finished 2nd and 3rd in Austria, so he now holds the 2nd place behind Kriegl. Another German driver, Christoph Pflügler, is currently 3rd with 27.5 points. Marcus Zeiner is 4th with Andreas Einhorn in 5th. Einhorn won both races in Austria, but he missed the race weekend in Grobnik.

The next Cruze Cup races are planned for 24th and 25th August at Slovakia Ring.
