The juniors did well at the Slovakia Ring

Young competitors, whose achievements are evaluated in a separate Junior Trophy classification, collected one trophy after another at the Slovakia Ring.

The most successful junior on the Slovakian circuit was Szabolcs Lantos in the Clio Cup. He managed to win both races, driving a superb defensive race to hold Tobias Poschik behind, and postponed the Clio Cup title deciding moment to the final event in Brno. Lantos holds fourth place in the junior ranking, Poschik is second with 74.04 points.

Petr Semerád leads the standings with 76.7 points. Semerád took two second places in TCR Eastern Europe. The Czech racer will thus fight for the title in the touring car championship with Bartosz Groszko at the final event in Most.

Who has already decided in his favour is Nik Štefančič, who holds third place in the junior standings. The defending Twingo Cup champion won the final race of the season at the Slovakia Ring to claim the title. He defeated Matej Ivanuša in the duel and became the first driver in history to defend the title.

In fifth place is another Twingo Cup driver Mihailo Mladenović and sixth is Benjamin Berta, who won Saturday’s formula race with the Dallara F316.
