FIA Motorsport Games takes place this weekend

The first-ever FIA Motorsport Games event takes place this weekend at Vallelunga circuit in Italy. The ESET V4 Cup series will have its own drivers participating in the event thanks to Dušan Kouřil jr. (Touring Cars) and Václav Šafář (Formula 4).

While this year’s ESET V4 Cup season is over, the drivers and fans still have one more exciting event on their calendars. The Vallelunga circuit in Italy hosts the 1st ever FIA Motorsport Games event, which also has two participants from the ESET V4 Cup series.

The first entry comes in the Touring Cars category as one of the 20 names on the list is also Dušan Kouřil jr. The Czech driver will race in Hyundai i30 N TCR, a car that he knows from this year’s TCR season so well. In 2019 season he managed to win two races and finish 3rd in the overall standings.

However, there will be some serious competition standing against him, including stars like Tom Coronel or TCR Europe drivers Maťo Homola, Luca Engstler or Gilles Magnus. One of the most interesting names on the list is also Norbert Kiss, who usually races with trucks. The Hungarian driver is set to drive Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR of Unicorse team, which also races in the ESET TCR series.

But that is not everything as there will be one more entry. The Formula 4 category starting grid features another ESET V4 Cup driver – Václav Šafář. It won’t be easy for him as well, as his opponents are regular drivers from the Italian or German championships like William Alatalo, Niklas Krütten or Ido Cohen.

Václav Šafář has competed in first event of this ESET V4 Cup season at Hungaroring. He has started with F4 car.

Each category, Touring Cars and Formula 4, have planned two races. In Touring Cars, the final standings will be decided by points sum for both heats. In Formula 4 will be decisive results from Sunday´s race.
