Bertilsson captured his first win on Sunday

The Clio Cup Bohemia series continued with Race 2 at Poznan on Sunday. And it brought the first win to Erik Bertilsson, who managed to beat Filip Sandström and Saturday’s winner Juuso Panttila.

After dominant performances by Filip Sandström at Hungaroring and Slovakiaring, the Clio Cup Bohemia championship finally saw two different winners at Poznan. While on Saturday, it was Juuso Panttila who took his first win, on Sunday Erik Bertilsson achieved the same feat.

After the reverse grid for the TOP 4 drivers from yesterday’s race, Bertilsson started from 3rd place on the grid. However, he quickly made his way into the lead that he was able to keep even in the final laps and then crossed the finish line as a race winner.

But it was not easy, as he was under constant attack from Filip Sandström. The Swedish driver had an extra motivation following an unlucky first race, in which he suffered a tyre puncture and had to settle for only 7th place in the end. Due to Yasmeen Koloc missing the race, he moved up to 6th position on the grid and then he also successfully made his way up through the field. He tried everything to get another victory this season, but he could not get past Bertilsson.

Saturday’s winner Juuso Panttila did not miss out on the podium today, as he crossed the line in 3rd position. It was a big reason to celebrate for the Carpek Service team as all three drivers are racing for them, including Richard Meixner who finished in 4th place.

The ZSP Motorsport Kft had the best starting positions as they had the first row on the reverse grid, led by Balint Hatvani ahead of Levente Losonczy. But they could not utilise it. First, Losonczy spun out and finished in 5th place. Balint Hatvani fought for 4th position but at the very end of the race, he slowed down and only crossed the line in 6th place.
