Which GT3 car dominated in the last season?

Just like in the last season, we are going to see several GT3 cars on the grid of ESET MMSR championship in 2018. These top-tier racing cars are very popular in the world and it is no different in Central Europe. But which of the manufacturer was the best in 2018? It was a year of BMWs.

The first race had taken place at Hungaroring where BMW M6 GT3 dominated throughout the whole event. Jirko Malchárek won in both sprint events, while in the endurance race he teamed up with his son Christian and just added another win. The story started in a similar fashion for BMW M6 GT3 at Red Bull Ring with Jakub Knoll winning the first sprint race. However, it was all about Konstantin Calko and his Lamborghini Huracan GTC for both remaining races.

BMW had returned to the top at Most circuit again, but this time it was a Z4 GT3 car. Jakub Knoll had managed to win a sprint race, while Dan Skalický and Robert Šenkýř had been unbeatable in the endurance race. However, the second sprint race saw a new winner – Richard Chlad Jr. and his Audi R8 LMS ultra.

Chlad Jr. did not want to stop winning just yet, so he added another one in Slovakia. But in the next race, it was the BMW M6 GT3 again with Jirko Malchárek behind the wheel. The endurance two-hour long race saw a great drive from Matěj Konopka and Zdeno Mikuláško with their Lamborghini Huracan GTC.

Another brand-new winner had emerged at the end of the season when Robert Lukas took the only win of the season for Porsche GT3 R. But for the rest of the weekend it was a story about the brilliance of BMW M6 GT3. Richard Chlad jr. took another win after switching to M6 GT3 while Jakub Knoll and Robert Šenkýř were unstoppable in the endurance race.

It comes as a no surprise to announce BMW as the best manufacturer of 2017 ESET MMSR championship. The BMW M6 GT3 took seven wins in total. The BMW Z4 GT3 added two more just like the Audi R8 LMS Ultra. Lamborghini Huracan was right in between both BMWs with three wins. And there was also that single win for Porsche.
