Sládečka brothers could race together this year

Sládečka brothers are considering to race together this season, in both Sprint and Endurance races. Filip, the older brother, spoke about this option in an exclusive interview.

Filip, you won the GTC Endurance category last season. Are we going to see you this year as well?

To be honest, we still don’t know how it is going to look like, in terms of racing. In Spring, we decided to enter some business activities and, as everybody within Motorsport knows, you need to have a lot of money to race.

Last year, you raced in Endurance events, while your brother Samuel focused on Sprints. Is it going to stay the same for the new season or are there going to be some changes?

We know there are plans for some rule changes, which should make possible to have driver changes in both, Sprint and Endurance, type of races, so we could race together.

In the last season’s GTC championship, the biggest opponent for Sládečka Motorsport was Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra. The Czech team from Brno is going to take part in some events this year as well. And the team owner Jiří Mičánek jr. himself is even thinking about racing in the Endurance events. How are you looking forward to more battles with this team?

We’re good friends with Mičánek’s family, in the pits and even outside of the pits. But the battles on the racetrack are always a bit different. After a year and half of racing each other, I’ve got to say they’ve always been very fair to us. They’ve always helped us, have given us some advice and we wish them only the best in Motorsport.

You also raced in other series last year. You and your brother went to Spa-Francorchamps together to take part in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe series. Are we going to see you in some other series this year as well?

If we are going to race this year, then yes, we want to race here and in some Super Trofeo events. However, due to those previously mentioned business activities, we won’t be able to do the whole championship.
