Václav Šafář is returning to the series this weekend at Brno. The Czech driver will be racing with Dallara 314 of Team Hoffmann in the upcoming round of the championship.
This weekend hosts Round 3 of the season at Brno. The Masaryk circuit will witness one great comeback – after more than a year, Václav Šafář returns to our championship. The Czech driver will be racing in an F3 category with Dallara 314 of Team Hoffmann. And he doesn´t aim low.
“It’s my first bigger race in almost a year. I raced at the FIA Motorsport Games tham. My goal is always the same – to win. But we won’t know our speed until free practice sessions. It’s our first start with a new team, so we also need to work hard on car setup and after such a long break, I need to return into the rhythm,” said Šafář.
Last time that Šafář was racing in this series was last year, during the opening round of the season at Hungaroring. Back then, he raced in an F4 category for GT2 Motorsport team. And he won both races.
However, it will not be his Formula 3 debut in the series. Two years ago, he raced in this category at Brno as well and he crossed the finish line in 2nd place in both races. On Saturday and on Sunday, he was beaten only by Sandro Zeller. And the Swiss driver will be his rival this weekend again, as he is going to be racing in the F3 category as well.
