Tomáš Pekař won both Renault Clio Cup races also at Slovakiaring. The driver from Mělník came significantly closer to the title thanks to these results.

It was Tomáš Pekař, who started the 2020 Renault Clio Cup season best in Grobnik, Croatia. The Carpek Racing driver wasn´t defeated in any race in the Adriatic and he returned home with a maximum amount of 50 points.

And Pekař didn´t lose his invincibility also at Slovakiaring. He took two victories also in Orechová Potôň and he leads the overall standings with 100 points after first two rounds. The difference between Pekař and the second best driver is 58 points. It means that if Pekař will lead by at least 50 points also after the races at Masaryk Circuit in Brno, he will be able to celebrate the title. But for now, there are still 100 points in the game and the theoretical chance still lives for all.

The overall second place was in the hands of Pawel Wysmyk after the Grobnik round. Mark Mramor was third. But it was the second metioned, who was better at Slovakiaring. Wysmyk scored only eight points for the sixth place in Race 2. Mramor finished on the fifth and on the seventh place, respectively. It brought him 16 points. Thanks to these results, Mramor is second with 42 points now. Wysmyk is third with 38 points.

Levente Losonczy is the fourth in the overall classification (34 points). Fifth place belongs to Adam Rzepecki (33 points), who won silver and bronze at Slovakiaring, sixth to his brother and silver man from Sunday’s Slovakian race Tomasz (30 points), seventh to Jonas Karklys (25 points), who finished third in the first race of the Slovakian weekend , eighth to Zoran Poglajen (21 points), ninth to Aliyyah Koloc (18 points) and Sandi Jeram (14 points) closes the top ten.
