In 2020, Jonas Karklys was racing in the Renault Clio Cup category. And the Lithuanian would like to continue there next year as well.
One of this year’s Renault Clio Cup category drivers was also Jonas Karklys. The Lithuanian driver entered two events at Slovakiaring and Hungaroring. In both cases, he raced for the Judesy Racing team.
And Karklys really enjoyed racing in this championship, that is why he is aiming to return to the Renault Clio Cup grid next year as well.
“I wanted to race as much as possible. And the ESET Cup with its Renault Clio Cup category offers an amazing championship with beautiful circuits. Next year, I definitely want to come back and continue. But it’s too early to say where I’ll be racing next year,” he said.
In all four races, Karklys has managed to score 46 points and 2 podium finishes. He crossed the line in 3rd place twice – in the first race at Slovakiaring, and the second race at Hungaroring. He finished in 7th place in the championship.
