ESET V4 Cup to offer standalone TCR races in 2019

For the first time ever, the ESET V4 Cup will offer standalone races for TCR category on its race weekend. The TCR cars are becoming more and more popular every year and they are also present in the ESET TCR series which is going to offer five race weekends this year. It all starts at Hungaroring (26.-28.4), followed by Red Bull Ring (17.-19.5), Grobnik (26.-28.7), Slovakia Ring (23.-25.8) and a final race at Brno (6.-8.9).

And it won’t be just that, as there will be an official TCR technical delegate present at each event to make sure that all the teams meet strict technical regulations and also the current BoP level.

Im very happy that we’ve together with WSC (World Sporting Consulting) have managed to find common ground and I‘d like to thank them once again for their confidence in us. The TCR class is very important for our drivers and our region and I believe, that in the following years it’s going to be fundamental for the whole FIA-CEZ. We have already 10 applications for this season and they keep coming,” said Josef Křenek, a promoter of the ESET TCR.

WSC president Marcello Lotti commented: “We are delighted to expand TCR competition to the Eastern European countries. There are many TCR cars that were involved in races open to a medley of classes, now they have the opportunity to compete under TCR technical regulations and control.”
