ESET Endurance at Slovakia also with former F1 driver

The entry list for Round 2 of the ESET Endurance race is full of great drivers. But there will be also one special name – a former Formula 1 driver Tomáš Enge.

This year’s ESET Endurance series continues this weekend with Round 2 at Slovakia Ring. The endurance race is set to take place on Saturday evening, during the ESET Cup race weekend.

The highest GT3 category is going to feature a Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Buggyra Zero Mileage. Behind its wheel, a two-time European Truck Racing champion David Vršecký, who will be joined by a former Formula 1 driver (3 GPs in 2001), Indianapolis 500 entrant (2005) and a 24 Hours Le Mans – GTS category winner (2003) Tomáš Enge.

Unsurprisingly, such a strong line-up makes the Buggyra Zero Mileage team the biggest favourite to win, but it will not be easy for the drivers. Their competition is very strong, like a Duck Racing duo Daniel Skalický with Petr Kačírek, who, unlike Enge and Vršecký, have much more experience with this series.

In the GTC category, Miro Konôpka and his son Maťo aim to win their home race at Slovakia Ring with a Lamborghini Supertropheo of ARC Bratislava. Miro is a two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans participant and he already won the first endurance event in Grobnik, Croatia.

But there will be also another strong team in the category with Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra making its return to the ESET Cup. The Czech team is also set to enter the Lamborghini Supertropheo.

Following its triumph in Grobnik, RTR Projects team is going to race in the GT4 category again. While in Croatia, the team successfully entered Petr Lisa with Tomáš Miniberger, this time the RTR Projects team is going to trust Filip Sajler and his wife Gabriela. However, even the GT4 category is going to offer serious competition, with drivers like Gregor Zsigo and Ferenc Ficza from Trevor Racing, who finished 3rd in Croatia.
