The penultimate round of the ESET MMSR season at Slovakia Ring was very important for the championships. And actually, five drivers have already managed to score enough points to celebrate their 2018 championship titles one race early!
While in the ESET Sprint series it is still open between Marcin Jedlinski and Richard Chlad jr., in the Endurance series there is nothing to discuss. Jedlinski has won all the races so far and nobody can get ahead of him anymore which means he can already celebrate the GT3 championship with his Olimp Racing team and Audi R8 LMS GT3 car.
The championship is also decided in the TCR category in Endurance after Csaba Tóth and Gábor Kismarty-Lechner has taken two wins and multiple podiums so far. They have accumulated enough points in their SEAT Cupra car of Zengo Motorsport team, that they have sealed the championship win before the final round at Brno.
Sebastian Kolakowski in Clio Cup III also does not have anything to be worried about. He and Carpek Racing team have put together 48 points and even if they skip the next event at Automotodrom Brno, nobody could take the championship away from them.
A win in every race. That is a way to describe Bartomomiej Mirecki’s season in F3 Trophy with single-seaters. He has won all six races so far with his black and green car of BM Racing Team and successfully defended his championship crown from last year.
But in the other sports cars, touring cars and Formula 3 categories nothing is not done yet and the final race of the season at Brno is going to offer a great show for the fans and some amazing battles.
