Champion Bartek Mirecki wished for rainy season

Bartolomiej Mirecki successfully defended title in F3 Trophy in L21 Formula championship by winning all races in the season. He was also fighting with faster F3 cars, which he could chase mainly on wet track.

You were dominant in F3 Trophy and win the title, how satisfied are you with this season?
Yes, sure I won all races and I’m really happy about that. One more year, one more tittle, I got really good rivals to fight against me.

Very often you were in the fight with faster F3 cars, how hard is to fight with them?
Fighting with F3 cars on slick are really really hard. They got more aero so more speed in corners, can brake later. But on wet it was quite easier, which I have shown at Red Bull Ring. I’m really sad that we haven´t got the races in wet condition in the whole season.

The highest competition was in Brno, more then 30 single seaters on the grid. How did you enjoy race in this great field?
Brno was the last race weekend, when I got F3 Trophy title in hands and in different category, I just needed to finish both races to get title, so from my side it was race just to safe finish and earn points. More excited was Hungaroring and Red Bull Ring, where was also a lot of cars on grid.

Which race are you going to remember for a long time?
In this year ESET, I think both races from Hungaroring, where after two good start I overtook a lot of drivers. I started from 8 in first race and after 2 corners was second! All races got special moments for me but I think that two from Hungaroring are the most memorable.

What are your plans for the rest of this year and what are your plans for next year?
In the end of the year I started to drive in new racing series, we got one more race weekend in November, also last race weekend in Polish Championships where I fight for tittle also. Than we´ll be preparing for new season, but we don’t know what we will do in 2019 at the moment. Need to wait to tell something more.
