Brajnik wins again, Birgus and Lovati triumphed in F4

Czech racer Vojtěch Birgus won his Formula 4 debut race at the Red Bull Ring. It happened only after a thirty-second penalty for the leader Tommaso Lovati. But Birgus was just getting used to the formula car and was constantly reducing his lap times during all weekend. Sunday’s race confirmed his progress as he improved his fastest lap by almost two seconds and he was already fighting an equal fight with Lovati. The JMT Racing driver finished behind Lovati with only 0.320 seconds. Trevor Racing’s Zénó Kovács finished third in both races.

In the Formula 3 category, Sandro Zeller was absolutely unbeatable, finishing in the first race with a fifteen-second lead, giving the opponents more than a minute in the second race. The first race was marked by two safety car outings in a total time of ten minutes, in the second race there was only three and a half minutes behind the safety car. In both cases, David Richert and Tomáš Chabr joined Zeller on the podium.

In the Renault Formula category, Denis Mezzacasa won both races ahead of Dr. Norbert Groer. In the first race, Adam Kovác completed the podium, but in the second race, the Hungarian competitor did not finish.

Paolo Brajnik and Bernardo Pellegrini shared the winnings at the Red Bull Ring in the E2-2.0 category.
